Sudan is actively working to promote women’s rights in the country, Chargé d'Affaires of Sudan in Azerbaijan Mustafa Abdelhaleem Mahmoud said at the international conference on empowering women in Baku, Report informs.
He noted that over the past ten years, serious efforts have been made in Sudan to achieve gender equality in society.
“We are making efforts to ensure salary equality for men and women, we attach great importance to the role of women in entrepreneurship. Despite the economic crisis, the state continues to support women, striving for their integration into various fields, including the economy,” he added.
