CENTCOM: US forces redirect 8 Iran-linked commercial vessels

Since the resumption of the US blockade against Iran, the US Navy has redirected eight commercial vessels either heading to or departing from Iranian ports, US Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a post on X, Report informs.
"Every operational success in the Middle East begins and ends with service members focused on their missions, including the US blockade against Iran. As of July 21, US forces have redirected 8 commercial vessels and disabled 1 to fully enforce the blockade," reads the post.
On July 15 (GMT+4), the US reinstated the blockade of Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz. A previous blockade was in place from April 13 to June 18, during which CENTCOM forces redirected more than 140 vessels and disabled nine.
