Brazil to sign agreement with Russia on development of uranium deposits

Brazil and Russia intend to sign a number of bilateral agreements, and the Brazilian side will also propose creating a joint venture that will explore and develop uranium deposits, Report informs referring to the Brazilian newspaper Exame, citing sources in the government.
In addition, according to the newspaper, Russia and Brazil will sign agreements on investments in the development of LNG infrastructure in the republic following the visit of Brazilian President Lula da Silva to Moscow.
The Brazilian president also intends to sign agreements on joint production of fertilizers during his visit to Russia. In addition, as stated by Secretary of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Asia-Pacific Region Eduardo Paes Saboia, the country's authorities are counting on increasing exports to Russia.
"We want to balance the trade balance [with Russia]," he said during a press conference dedicated to the upcoming visit of the Brazilian leader to Russia.
According to the diplomat, the parties also intend to sign a number of agreements in the field of science and technology.
