Brazil registered its highest COVID-19 death toll for a single day, with 881 fatal cases over the past 24 hours, Report says, citing TASS.
The total death toll from the new coronavirus has now hit 12,400 in the country, with 177,589 confirmed cases -- up 9,258 from the day before.
The death toll from the new type of coronavirus in the US may reach 147 thousand by the beginning of August. Director of the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, Christopher Murray told CNN. He expressed concerns about the too rapid lifting of sanitary restrictions.
