US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is in Israel as negotiations continue, Report informs, citing Sky News.
After meeting Israeli President Isaac Herzog, he said the temporary ceasefire was "producing results. It's important, and we hope that it can continue."
Mr Blinken then began talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
This will be followed by a meeting with Israel's war cabinet and separately with opposition leader Yair Lapid, Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, and Minister Benny Gantz.
"I look forward to detailed conversations with the government of Israel about the way ahead in Gaza," Mr Blinken said, following words from Joe Biden urging Israel to show restraint when it resumed hostilities.
