Berlusconi to run for Italian Senate

Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has announced that he will run for the upper house of the Parliament (Senate) on September 25, Report informs.
The 85-year-old politician made the remarks in an interview with Radio 1.
"I think I will run for the Senate. With this, I will fulfil many requests," he stressed.
Berlusconi is the leader of the Forza Italia Party, which is part of the centre-right coalition together with the Brothers of Italy and Lega parties. The latest polls show that this coalition has a high probability of winning the election to be held in the fall.
