Application for SAFE aimed at strengthening EU defense concludes

Nineteen member states of the European Union (EU) have applied to the Security Action for Europe (SAFE) aimed at strengthening the EU's defense to receive support, President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, wrote on X, Report informs.
"19 Member States, including Latvia, have requested support via our SAFE Defense instrument. I"m pleased to announce that we have reached full subscription of SAFE. The whole €150 billion. This is a European success," reads the post.
