ANSA: US opposed to inviting Zelenskyy to NATO summit in The Hague

The United States objects to inviting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to NATO's summit in The Hague on June 24, Italian news agency ANSA said, quoting diplomatic sources, Report informs via Interfax.

The summit agenda will include a dinner that the Dutch royal family has offered to the leaders on the evening of June 24, which Asian partners are also expected to attend, it said.

The principal session addressing an increase in military spending and a final adoption of the capability objectives is scheduled for Wednesday, June 25. A NATO-Ukraine Council meeting at the level of the leaders, as has happened in the past, is not planned for the time being, which is unlikely to be changed, ANSA said. Among the options is a Council meeting at the level of foreign ministers, who will be present at the summit in any case.
