9 Pakistanis killed in Iran

Three unidentified attackers have reportedly shot and killed at least 9 Pakistanis in southeastern Iran on Sunday, local media and a provincial security official said, Report informs via WE News.

Reuters and Iranian media said that 3 Pakistanis were also injured in the attack.

This follows a similar incident earlier that took the lives of nine Pakistani workers. The attack occurred in the Sirkan neighborhood of Saravan city in Sistan-Baluchistan province. Pakistan Ambassador to Iran Mudassir Tipu had confirmed the killing of 9 Pakistanis and strongly condemned the unfortunate incident.

A few weeks ago, Iran had hit a house in the border region of Panjgur in Baluchistan, leaving several dead. Pakistan also carried out strikes against hideouts in Iran used by those responsible for attacks in Pakistan in early hours of 18 January 2024.
