The Daily Telegraph writes that Boris Johnson could face another confidence vote on Wednesday evening. It is possible that the 1922 Committee could decide at a meeting of the executive on Wednesday afternoon to change the rules to allow for another vote. One of the 1922 committee members told Reuters: "The game is up. It's the cabinet that needs to move against him."
