20 fatalities confirmed in Afghan river disaster

A tragic incident occurred in the eastern province of Nangarhar, Afghanistan, where a boat capsizing resulted in the loss of 20 lives, Report informs via TRT Haber.

The vessel, which was carrying 25 individuals, overturned in the river within the Momand Dara district.

Despite rescue efforts, only 5 passengers were saved. Among the deceased were women and children.
