12 killed in bus crash in Hungary

Twelve people were killed and at least 10 others seriously injured after a Polish-registered bus crashed in eastern Hungary on Sunday.
According to Report, the bus veered off the M3 motorway near the town of Mezőkeresztes, on its way to Nyíregyháza, and overturned in a ditch. Preliminary information from police indicated that the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel.
Hungarian state news agency MTI reported that 57 passengers and two drivers were on board. The injured were taken to hospitals, while police detained the bus driver.
Rescue operations were carried out at the scene, and authorities launched an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
