Markov: "Baku and Moscow are well aware of Armenia’s provocations"

"The political task for Armenia is to expand the geography of military operations. They provoke Azerbaijan to strike on their territory."

Russian political scientist Sergei Markov said, commenting on the shelling of the second-largest Azerbaijani city of Ganja from Armenia.

"But few know that the CSTO, even in this situation, will not decide to intervene, since there are a lot of Azerbaijan's allies in the organization itself. The countries of the Turkic world - Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, besides Muslim Tajikistan and even Slavic and Orthodox, and friendly to Azerbaijan Belarus, will not want to provide Armenia with military assistance," the political scientist said.

According to the expert, Armenia is trying in every possible way to provoke Russia and drag it into the conflict.

"For that end, powerful Armenian propaganda is working in Russia, that wants to present the conflict not as a war between Armenia and Azerbaijan, but as a war of Turkey against Russia in the South Caucasus. But Russia does not want to get involved in the conflict."

S. Markov also added that in many ways, Pashinyan lost in the war and at the diplomatic level: "Pashinyan did not receive the political support, in particular, from Russia, which he hoped for. But this is natural. He is Soros's agent. Why should Russia help him? "
