As a result of missile attacks and air raids carried out by Russian troops in recent months, civil infrastructure facilities were seriously damaged in Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Zhytomyr and Kryvyi Rih regions of Ukraine. Facilities in residential areas, including power stations and substations, were damaged, and people were injured.
In the capital Kyiv, attacks were carried out on important infrastructure facilities in the Desnyansky district in the northeast of the city. There were interruptions in the electricity and water supply on the left bank of the Dnieper River in Kyiv.
The Ukrainian military, carrying out an operation to prevent attacks, shot down dozens of Iranian-made UAVs.
Report’s correspondent prepared a reportage on civil infrastructure facilities destroyed by Iranian-made UAVs in Kyiv.
Commenting on the matter to Report, editor-in-chief of the UNIAN news Agency Mikhail Gannitsky, said that these drones are very effective due to the tactics of their use: “It is possible to deliver massive blows with them. Moreover, Russia can use these drones en masse due to their low price. The Shahed drone is less expensive than any air defence system used to shoot down this drone. For example, even one missile fire from a Stinger costs more than one Shahed drone.”
According to him, as a result of the mass use of drones, the probability of one or more of them reaching the targets increases:
“100 drones are launched, of which only four hit the target. However, four drones can inflict serious damage on a power plant. Without them, Russian terrorists would not have the resources to attack Ukrainians and the Ukrainian economy 150 kilometers from the front line. Therefore, the criminal regime of the Ayatollahs is directly responsible for the prolongation of the war in Ukraine and also carrying out the genocide against Ukrainians, including Muslim Ukrainians.”
