Tashkent to host 150th Anniversary Assembly of Inter-Parliamentary Union

The 150th anniversary Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) will be held in Tashkent on April 5-9 this year at the initiative of Uzbekistan, Speaker of the Senate of Uzbekistan's Supreme Assembly Tanzila Narbayeva said at the opening ceremony of the 15th plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) held in Baku on February 19 under Azerbaijan's chairmanship, Report informs.

Narbayeva also emphasized the importance of the COP29 event organized in Baku in November 2024:

"This event has further increased the world's attention to a green future."
