Speaker of Iraqi parliament calls on states to prevent war in Gaza

The Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Mohsin Ali Akbar Al-Mandalawi, called on the countries to prevent the war in Gaza, Report informs.

During his speech at the 14th plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly held in Baku on February 22, he said that it is necessary to work to establish stability and peace on the Asian continent for the sake of the well-being of mankind:

"In this regard, it is important to strengthen cooperation between our countries and resolve the crisis in the Gaza Strip. Because there is a danger that the effects of this war will spread throughout the world. Therefore, it is the responsibility of all the world's countries to prevent war. Currently, as the government and people of Iraq, we have mobilized all our forces in this direction."
