Speaker of Parliament demands unbiased investigation into attack on Azerbaijani Embassy in Iran

Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova met with the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Malaysian Parliament Johari Abdul within the framework of her working visit to Algeria to participate in the 17th Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Parliament (Milli Majlis).

The Chairwoman of the Milli Majlis informed her Malaysian colleague about the terrorist act committed on January 27 at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Iran, noting that Baku demands an objective and comprehensive investigation of this attack.

Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Malaysian Parliament Johari Abdul expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between the two countries and their parliaments and expressed interest in further development of relations. He noted that Malaysia attaches great importance to the development of relations with the Azerbaijani Parliament, as well as its activities in the Non-Aligned Movement and its Parliamentary Network.

During the conversation, the importance of mutual visits for further expansion of cooperation was also emphasized.
