On September 10, a parliamentary delegation led by Speaker of Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova will leave for Turkey as part of its first official visit, Press and Public Relations Department of the Parliament told Report.
The delegation includes Ahliman Amiraslanov, head of the parliamentary working group on interparliamentary relations with Turkey, Ziyafat Asgarov, chairman of the committee, Sevil Mikayilova, Fazil Mustafa, Elshan Musayev, Tural Ganjaliyev, Safa Mirzayev, chief of the parliament administration, and other officials.
During the visit, the members will get acquainted with the parliament's activities in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the legislative process, and exchange views with their Turkish counterparts.
Sahiba Gafarova will meet with Speaker of the Grand National Assembly Mustafa Shentop. The sides will discuss the current state and prospects of inter-parliamentary relations, further expansion of our bilateral cooperation, implementation of global projects by the two countries and ways to resolve regional conflicts at the parliamentary level.
Gafarova plans to meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other officials.
Also, the parliamentary delegation will attend the Ataturk Mausoleum (Anitkabir) in Ankara and view the city's historical sites.
The visit will end on September 12.
