Natalya Kochanova: Belarus seeks support for observer status in APA

Belarus seeks support from parties to join the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) as an observer, Speaker of the Belarusian Parliament, Natalya Kochanova, said at the opening ceremony of the 15th plenary session of the organization held in Baku on February 19 under Azerbaijan's chairmanship, Report informs.

According to Kochanova, Belarus is a peace-loving state pursuing a multi-vector foreign policy:

"We pay serious attention to friendship and neighborly relations. Membership in international organizations has made a great contribution to the expansion of economic relations and the development of cultural ties. It is very important to build an indivisible world in the 21st century. Therefore, we must jointly develop a strategy to prevent external forces from influencing the internal affairs of a country."
