Azerbaijan to jail internet drug dealers for 5-12 years

Those who sell drugs and psychotropic substances using Internet information resources will be prosecuted in Azerbaijan.

Report informs that amendments are being proposed to the Criminal Code to this effect.

Under the proposed amendments, production, acquisition, storing, transportation, or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their precursors, using mass media, including Internet information resources or information and telecommunication networks, will be punished with imprisonment for a period of 5 to 12 years.
