Azerbaijan increases amount of need criterion for targeted state social assistance

The amount of need criterion for the targeted state social assistance will be increased to AZN 200.

The document will be discussed in the Milli Majlis in the near future.

Last year, the amount of need criterion for the targeted state social assistance was AZN 170.

Assignment of targeted state social assistance is based on the need criterion. The need criterion for each family member is currently 170 manat. If there is a child under the age of 8 in the family, the employment requirement does not apply to the mother. In this case, if the father's minimum wage is a minimum - 250 manat, then this amount is deducted from the general need criterion of the family, and the remaining amount is given in the form of targeted state social assistance.
