Patriotic War veteran: Armenia's mythical 'Ohanyan Line' breached in just an hour

The “Ohanyan Line”, mythologized by Armenia and thought to be impenetrable, was breached by the Azerbaijani Army in a mere hour, an officer of the Azerbaijan Army who participated in the Patriotic War, told Report.

The officer shared this revelation during a media tour organized on the fourth anniversary of the Fuzuli's liberation from Armenian occupation.

He noted that the Mangalanata heights in Füzuli were of strategic importance for the district's liberation.

"The first operation to break through the enemy's forces in the Patriotic War was in the Fuzuli direction. The Azerbaijani Army breached Armenia's mythologized 'Ohanyan Line' in just an hour. We demonstrated our strength both in politics and in battle. The timely and correct decisions made by President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev played a crucial role," the officer stated.

The military serviceman added that Armenia had started to believe its own mythical lies about the line. According to him, the enemy thought the line and fortifications they had built were impenetrable.

"The breach of the 'Ohanyan Line' created a sense of demoralization on the opposing side. After that, they began to disintegrate into groups. With the timely and correct decisions made by the leadership of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, the enemy's weaknesses were analyzed, they were attacked from several directions, and surrounded in a crescent shape," he emphasized.

As a result of the counter-offensive operation launched by the Azerbaijani Army on September 27, 2020, in Karabakh and surrounding districts, which marked the start of the Patriotic War, the city of Fuzuli was liberated from Armenian occupation on October 17.
