Number of POWs, bodies handed over to Armenia after September battles announced

Seventeen people captured during military operations in the September battles of this year and 133 bodies were handed over to Armenia, Ilgar Safarov, a senior assistant of the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan said at the joint briefing of the Prosecutor General's Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the crimes committed against Azerbaijan by the armed forces of Armenia and illegal Armenian armed groups from 1988 to the present day, Report informs.

"On the night of September 12, 2022, units of the Armenian armed forces committed large-scale sabotage in the directions of Dashkasan, Kalbajar and Lachin of the Azerbaijan-Armenia state border. Eighty servicemen were martyred and 274 servicemen were injured while preventing the Armenian provocation," he stressed.
