Cause of Azerbaijan's MiG-29 crash revealed

"The information from the black box of the MiG-29 airplane of the Azerbaijani air forces that crashed at 22.00 on July 24 during the night training flights over the Caspian Sea, has been studied and analyzed by experts," the press service of Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry told Report.

"The analysis of the causes showed that before the aircraft crashed into the Caspian Sea, it collided with an alien object (a bird or a flock of birds) as a result of which the pilot was injured. Based on the data from the 'black box' it was revealed that the pilot tried to restore the control to prevent the crash. But the heavy wound made it impossible and led to the crash of the military aircraft," the Defense Ministry said.
