Azerbaijan starts production of machine guns

Baku. 6 November. REPORT.AZ/ Series production of 7.62×54 mm calibre HP-7.62 machine gun has started in Azerbaijan.

Report informs citing the ministry that machine gun was produced by Azerbaijani specialists and the tests were successfully completed.

Machine gun was demonstrated at ADEX - 3rd Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition in September. It caused a great interest of the participants and visitors.

Supplied with adjustable plastic buttstock, HP-7.62 makes short (up to 10 shoots), long (up to 30 shoots), with periods or without a break. The weight is 8.2 kg, range – 1,000 meters, general length with unfolded buttstock – 1,080 mm, shooting periodicity – 650-750 shots per minute, fighting shooting range is 250 shots per minute.
