Azerbaijan's Minister of Defense extends condolences over death of Iranian Chief of General Staff

Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov has extended condolences on the demise of Lieutenant General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The message of condolences reads:

"I am deeply saddened by the news of the demise of Lieutenant General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Muhammad Bagheri, whom I knew personally and who was always distinguished by his professionalism and pleasant attitude, will be remembered with fond memories.

I express my deepest condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased and wish them patience.

May Allah have mercy upon him!"
