36 people detained for violating Azerbaijani border

Azerbaijan's border guards detained 36 trespassers, Report informs, citing the press service of the State Border Service (SBS).

At 00:15 (GMT+4) on May 14, Azerbaijani border guards detained 12 Azerbaijani citizens, including 8 minors, in the service area of the Gazakh separate border division of the Border Troops of the State Border Service, as they attempted to cross the state border from Georgia into the Republic of Azerbaijan

Later, at 02:10 (GMT+4), an additional 24 Azerbaijani citizens—16 of whom were minors—were detained in the service territory of the Shamkir border guard for attempting to cross the state border from Georgia into Azerbaijan.

Operational-investigative measures are being continued.
