Baku. 24 January. REPORT.AZ/ The Chairman of Press Council Aflatun Amashov expressed condolences over death of two Azerbaijani reporters - Nijat Malikov and Ulviyya Mammadova (Shamilqizi).
Report informs, Amashov posted the condolences on his Facebook profile.
The condolence message says:
“There is one saying that sounds like a cliché: it’s very hard to lose a colleague. If the colleague you lost is a journalist, then, I think it becomes harder. When journalists die along with them their ideas and thoughts are also passing away. The ideas and thoughts, realization of which is in favor of society. The implementation of those ideas and thoughts is panacea for griefs, spiritual comfort, enthusiasm, aspiration for a new day and challenge. In this regard, death of a journalist is also a loss of society. It’s really very rough.
These days, deep sorrow, disappointment and shock don’t leave us. We are filled with pain to speak about our talented colleagues, Nijat Malikov and Ulviyya Mammadova (Shamilqizi) in the past tense. Both of them with their own approaches and styles thrived to draw society’s attention to certain things and were successful in that. They were known and accepted for those qualities.
May Allah pour His blessings on them! May Allah give patience to their families, relatives, friends and colleagues who treated them with kindness and care.
Rest Them In Peace!"
