Chief editor of Baku.ws: Activity carried out together with team has a positive effect on efficiency of work

The journalistic environment is like a ‘hot pot’, everyone must be able to cooperate with each other, Azad Aliyev, the editor-in-chief of the Baku.ws website, said at the meeting with the students of the Report Media School, Report informs.

"A journalist should work in harmony. The activity carried out together with the team has a positive effect on the efficiency of work in the team. Working with hot news, cooperating in a pot environment helps to make the material great," said the editor-in-chief.

According to Azad Aliyev, along with the quality of the news, the skill of the journalist speaks for itself.

"A journalist's ability to observe also plays a key role. The editor guides you through the task. But you see the event with your own eyes, not the editor's. A journalist should see the important points him/herself. This allows the journalist to reflect the event in the fastest and most reliable way," he stressed.

The editor-in-chief shared his experience with the students about the working principle of the information site:

"In the beginning, Baku.ws was not recognized as a news source. Our first step was to strengthen exclusive news production. After some time, other sites started sharing news with reference to us. The readership has increased significantly. Social networks also helped. As a result, people accepted our website as a serious news portal.

Azad Aliyev was born in 1982 in the Ujar district of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In 2003, he graduated from the Faculty of Publishing and Editing at Baku State University. Azad Aliyev, who started working as a journalist in 2000, worked as a reporter for Hafta newspaper for a period of time. Since 2009, he has worked first as a reporter and then as a chief editor at the ANS Press website. Since 2015, he has been the editor-in-chief of the Baku.ws website.
