Azerbaijan to open new channel specialized on news

Baku. 28 February. REPORT.AZ/ The National Television and Radio Council has convened for a regular meeting.
Report informs citing the Council that the meeting focused on the discussions of a new channel specialized on news, and a tender was announced from March 11 till April 11 on the 48th frequency for SD broadcasting and 37th frequency for HD broadcasting in Baku and Absheron.
The meeting also viewed the application of MEDIAART Company for obtaining a license for cable broadcasting and decided to issue an unlimited license for cable broadcasting for up to 5,000 subscribers.
