Tackling the mine problem requires collective action and a comprehensive approach that combines political will, technological innovation, public engagement, and international cooperation, Ivana Živković, UN Assistant Secretary-General (ASG) and Director of the United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) Regional Bureau for Europe and Central Asia said.
According to Report, Živković was speaking at the 3rd international conference on Mitigating Environmental Impact of Landmines: Resource Mobilization for Safe and Green Future in Zangilan.
