TURKSOY Secretary-General: By restoring Shusha, we will revive Turkic spirituality

It is necessary to restore Shusha. By restoring this city, we will revive Turkic spirituality, new Secretary-General of TURKSOY Sultan Raev told reporters in Bursa, Report informs.

"Shusha is the spiritual center of Azerbaijan. Shusha has granted the world many great figures of culture, literature and art. It is the source of the cultural spirituality of the Azerbaijani people. In my new position, I will pay special attention to this city, because Shusha is in the heart of every Turkic man," Sultan Raev said.

He noted the need to restore the city.

"We must restore Shusha, because if we restore this city, we will revive the Turkic spirituality."

The Secretary-General of TURKSOY stated that the organization intends to support Shusha and hold all events there in 2023.

"We want to focus the attention of all mankind on Shusha, because Shusha is connected with Turkic spirituality. This city will serve as a bridge for the integration of the Turkic world."

The city of Shusha was elected the capital of the Turkic world for 2023. The decision on this was made at an extraordinary meeting of the Permanent Council of TURKSOY, held today in the Turkish city of Bursa.
