Lavrov: South Caucasus turns into a region of stability

The South Caucasus is turning from a region of contradictions into a region of stability, Russia will do its utmost to help this. Report informs citing the RIA Novosti, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.
“The joint statement, signed by the Prime Minister of Armenia and the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia on November 9, ended the war and secured agreements allowing refugees and internally displaced persons to return to their homes. It secured agreements for economic recovery, solution of humanitarian problems,” Lavrov said.
Notably, leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia Vladimir Putin, Ilham Aliyev, and Nikol Pashinyan signed a joint statement on the complete cessation of hostilities in Karabakh from November 10.
