MP: 140,000 people to live in liberated Azerbaijani territories by end-2026

By the end of 2026, 140,000 people will return to the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, Vugar Bayramov, a member of the parliament, said at a round table discussion "Mine victims in Azerbaijan: achievements and upcoming tasks," Report informs.

He noted that in 2025, the Great Return process will be carried out very actively, so it is extremely important to clear these territories of mines: "About 1.5 million mines were buried in the territories of Azerbaijan. In the Fuzuli region alone, their number is about 80,000. This problem poses a serious threat to the life of the population."
