Kommersant: Elimination of quasi-entity opened way for Baku and Yerevan to move towards peace

The Karabakh conflict is no longer a conflict, which has opened the way for Baku and Yerevan to move forward on the path to peace, reads an article in the Russian newspaper Kommersant entitled “Azerbaijan has incited peace,” Report informs.

According to the author, the Karabakh conflict once again confirmed that there is no peace without war.

The "decree” on the liquidation of the quasi-entity, the so-called Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, issued on September 28 - almost the anniversary of the start of the Second Karabakh War and nine days after energetic pressure from Azerbaijan, finally resolved the issue, the material says. This was the natural result of the Second Karabakh War.

We should get rid of the name “Stepanakert” - the city is returning its historical name Khankandi, the author of the article notes.

In turn, the Armenian prime minister did everything to prevent Baku from accusing him of any interference during the latest lightning-fast anti-terrorist measures. This is an indicator that Yerevan has accepted the Baku formula, the author notes.
