James O'Brien: Washington to continue trying to bring closer positions of Yerevan and Baku

The US will continue to try to bring the positions of Armenia and Azerbaijan closer together, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O’Brien told journalists, Report informs.
The US diplomat noted that the current tensions point to the importance of stepping up diplomatic efforts.
“I don’t want to speculate on any particular recent action, so we’ll just continue the path of trying to bring the parties together,” he added.
