"In Lachin, ten landmines are found in an area of one square meter. The year 2021 is written on most of the found landmines," Umud Mirzayev, president of the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF), said at the round table held at the Social Research Center (SRC).
According to him, the research carried out by BAMF alone revealed that more than 3,000 mine incidents occurred after the First Karabakh War and more than 230 after the Second Karabakh War: "On August 20 and 21, two people were hit by a mine in Lachin. We have been cooperating with ANAMA for a long time. According to the signed agreement, Armenia had to hand over the mine maps to Azerbaijan. But unfortunately, they use it as a tool of political pressure."
