Expert: Armenia should be held accountable for its provocations

The provocation of Armenia on the border with Azerbaijan clearly demonstrates their intention to hinder the peace process, Khalid Taimur Akram, executive director of the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future, told Report.

"As a result of the provocation, there are losses among the personnel of the armed forces of Azerbaijan, as well as damage to the military infrastructure. The most disturbing reality is that the recent meetings held in Brussels between the countries, with the assistance of the European Union, were just a false facade of cooperation from the Armenian side. The leadership of Yerevan has never been loyal to the cause of peace and humanity," he said, adding that the administration of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is opposing the implementation of the tripartite agreements with all its might.

He noted that since the territories were liberated, Azerbaijan has been actively demining, but Armenia continues to plant mines in the territories of Azerbaijan deliberately.

"Therefore, the time has come for the international community to witness Armenia's aggression against Azerbaijan and the flagrant violation of the fundamental norms and mandatory rules of the ceasefire agreement. The country must be held accountable for its provocative actions and violations.

International organizations and world media should pay attention to the provocations of the Armenians and take immediate action," concluded Khalid Taimur Akram.
