"There are working groups on 11 thematic issues related to restoration work. The bodies responsible for carrying out this coordinated activity have been appointed," Emin Huseynov, Special Representative of the President for the liberated territories of the Karabakh economic region (except Shusha), said at a scientific-practical conference "Karabakh: a new landscape from the South Caucasus to the world" organized by the New Azerbaijan Party on the restoration of the liberated territories and the "Great Return" program.
He said the new division of economic regions is welcomed: "Each has its own comparative advantages. The special representation contributes to modern governance and will support recovery with quicker methods. The economic potential of these areas must be accurately assessed. Comparative advantages are analyzed, taking into account resources, transport corridors of every region. A comprehensive approach to recovery and development is applied. The next step is to take steps to provide social services. Today, the construction of highways and other works in Karabakh is one of the most important basic infrastructure projects. Return of IDPs to Karabakh is among the main goals."
Noting that Aghdam is one of the largest districts of Karabakh, Huseynov said that the district is rich in natural resources: "These reserves are estimated at $ 1.3 billion."
