Baku. 28 February. REPORT.AZ/ "Constant violence on the contact line necessitates the further strengthening of the activity of US in the OSCE Minsk Group towards the peaceful settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict," co-chair of the working group on Azerbaijan in the US Congress, Steve Cohen, representing Tennessee in the House of Representatives, said in a statement on the 27th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide.
He noted that despite the fact that more than 20 years have passed since the signing of the ceasefire, 20% of Azerbaijan including Nagorno-Karabakh and seven surrounding districts are still under occupation and more than one million Azerbaijanis have been expelled from their homeland.
