Belarusian ambassador visits Karabakh to study cooperation potential

Belarusian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Dmitry Pinevich, together with staff of the diplomatic mission, visited the Karabakh region to study its tourism and production potential, Report informs, citing the embassy's official Facebook page.
"The Belarusian delegation familiarized itself with the unique nature, rich history and development opportunities of Lachin, Aghdara, Shusha, Zangilan, Kalbajar, Khojaly and Aghdam districts, as well as the city of Khankandi, which were previously inaccessible to foreign guests," the embassy said.
During the visit, the Azerbaijani and Belarusian sides reaffirmed the prospects for developing educational cooperation between Belarusian universities and Karabakh University, which is expected to become a future center of student life in the region.
The diplomats also visited production facilities and discussed opportunities for bilateral cooperation between Belarus and Azerbaijan through joint projects in the liberated territories.
The embassy thanked the special representative offices of the President of Azerbaijan in the districts concerned, as well as Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry and Presidential Administration, for their assistance in organizing the visit to Karabakh.
