Azerbaijani soldier dies on duty

A soldier of the Azerbaijani Army sustained a fatal gunshot wound during a mission at a border post of Gazakh separate border division near Dash Salahli village of Gazakh region at about 05.40 am on Saturday.

Though serviceman Garayev Eltun Elman was taken to Gazakh Diagnostic - Treatment center, the doctors could not save his life, the State Border Service (SBS) told Report.

SBS Chief, Colonel-General Elchin Guliyev, and other senior officials arrived at the scene.

Border Troops of the State Border Service and Military Prosecutor's Office launched necessary investigative measures into the fact.
