"Armenians used pliers to remove my toenails and involved them in demolition work," Former serviceman Famil Heydarli Aliyev, captured by the Armenian armed forces during the First Karabakh War, told Report.

Ahmadov, who remained in Armenian captivity for 343 days, said that the enemy brutally beat the Azerbaijani prisoners with iron-tipped boots, truncheons, and crowbars and severely tortured them: "In 1992, I was called up for military service by the Khatai District Office of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription. I took part in the battles for the defense of Aghdam and Fuzuli. In January 1994, I was wounded in the fighting in Aghdam's Javahirli village and was taken prisoner by the Armenians. First, I was taken to Aghdam, then to Khankendi with other captives. Two or three days later, we were taken to Shusha prison, and from that day, our terrible days began..."
