Azerbaijan 'blacklisted' 96 foreigners last year

Baku. 6 March. REPORT.AZ/ The names of 96 foreign citizens who ignored the warnings of the Azerbaijan Republic and paid illegal visits to the occupied lands last year were included into the 'List of foreign citizens who illegally visited the occupied territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan', the Cabinet of Ministers's report on activity in 2018 reads.

The report notes that a ban on entry of these persons to the country and respective measures were adopted in their relation in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

As a result of the conducted works a number of foreign citizens addressed the Azerbaijani side and apologized for the visit to the occupied territories. At the same time, they asked to exclude or not to include their names to the list compiled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In general, based on the respective appeals and information received in 2014-2018, the names of more than 40 persons were excluded from the indicated list.
