Baku. 4 November. REPORT.AZ/ UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon met with the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest - 2014 Austrian singer Conchita Wurst. Report informs citing the UN News Center, on this meeting, Ban Ki-moon stated that he opposes discrimination against LGBT people.
According to him, the activity of Konchita Wurst "destroys entrenched stereotypes about gender identity".
Ban Ki-moon said he was glad that the singer uses his talent and Eurovision platform to bring these ideas to a wider audience.
