Scientists: Cell phones cause vision loss

Baku. 9 August. REPORT.AZ / American scientists from the University of Toledo revealed that blue light coming from the screens of modern phones causes vision loss.
Report informs citing the Izvestia, the reason is the toxic form of retinol — a chemical substance contained in the cells of the retinal.
According to the researchers, with aging, vessels which feeds the cells of the retina, are disappearing. There is also macular degeneration, which is the reason of about half of the blindness cases in people over 55 years age.
It becomes clear that, the light in the blue, navy blue and purple range of the spectrum greatly aggravates these disorders, as it leads to the formation of a twisted form of retinal.
