Finland to get largest national flag in the world

Baku. 8 December. REPORT.AZ/ About 30 states will present Finland a huge national flag in tribute to the country's Independence Day anniversary, which is celebrated on December 6.

Report informs citing the website of the anniversary celebrations on centenary of Finland's independence.

"Flag's size is 26m x 16m, total area 416 m2, it will be the largest national flag in the world. About 30 states took part in creating the flag of extra strong fabrics. The flag will be on the flag-post round the clock, which is exceptional case, since under the laws of Finland the national flag should not be on the flag-post at night", the statement said.

It was noted that the gift will be presented at a special ceremony on December 8.
