One ticket won the biggest-ever top prize of more than HK$193 million ($24.7 million) in Hong Kong’s Mark Six lottery on February 2 night, following a turnover of over HK$380 million, Report informs via South China Morning Post.
The lone winner took home HK$193,762,620 after punters packed Hong Kong Jockey Club betting branches citywide earlier in the day for a shot at the record prize.
The winner placed the bet over the counter with cash, the Post learned.
The prize marked a record dividend payout for a HK$10 winning unit, as well as being the Jockey Club’s largest-ever “Chinese New Year Snowball”.
Twelve tickets took the second prize, with each winner pocketing HK$1,215,620.
The third prize was won by 536.5 tickets, with each taking HK$72,500.
