Yalchin Rafiyev: Work in liberated areas carried out under UN sustainable development plan

After liberating its lands that were under occupation for nearly 30 years, Azerbaijan has set the main goal for the restoration and reconstruction of those territories and the return of people to their native lands, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yalchin Rafiyev said at the third Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Dialogue on the topic "Results of the Global Summit on SDGs 2023 and the Role of Supreme Financial Control Bodies in the Implementation of the SDGs."

According to him, this process is carried out in accordance with the UN sustainable development plan:

"The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, rising poverty and geopolitical tensions have further set back progress on sustainable development. For this reason, we are halfway to the goal of the SDG."
