By the end of the year, the volume of cargo transshipment at the Baku International Sea Trade Port is projected to exceed 7 million tons, head of the strategic planning and development department of the Baku Trade Port, Khudayar Hasanli, said at the conference "International Transport and Logistics Corridor: Development Impulses from Zangilan" in Baku.
According to him, in 2022, this figure amounted to 6.3 million tons: "Now 90% of the volume of transshipment at the Baku port is accounted for by transit cargo."
Hasanli noted that over 10 months of this year, 45,398 vehicles passed through the Baku port.
He emphasized that the throughput capacity of the Baku port is planned to be increased from 15 million tons to 25 million tons per year.
